Issues with migrating Brand Voices

Common problems | solutions

With the introduction of the new Brand Profiles, some challenges may arise when migrating your existing Brand Voices. This article helps you identify and resolve typical issues.


1. Migration not available

Problem:

You do not see an option to migrate your Brand Voice.

Solution:

  • Ensure that your app is up to date. Clear your browser history and cookie data, log out of your neuroflash account, close the browser, and restart it. Log back in and try again.

  • Check if your existing Brand Voice is correctly marked as "Legacy." Only Legacy Brand Voices can be migrated.

  • If the issue persists, contact support at magicpen@neuroflash.com.


2. Incomplete migration

Problem:

After the migration, some content or rules from your old Brand Voice are missing.

Solution:

  • Check the "Migrated Rules" section: All custom rules that do not fit into the standard profile are moved here. These rules cannot be edited but remain active.

  • Compare with the old Brand Voice: Use the stored Legacy Brand Voice as a reference to ensure all content has been properly transferred.

  • Manually adjust the new profile: Add any missing information to your new Brand Profile manually.


3. Custom rules not working as expected

Problem:

Certain custom rules are not applied during text generation.

Solution:

  • Activate Advanced Rules: Make sure the new Advanced Rules are correctly defined in the Brand Profile.

  • Check subscription limits: Depending on your subscription plan (Starter, Pro, Business), there are limits for Advanced Rules. An upgrade might be necessary.

  • Review rules: Check the structure and wording of the rules. Adjust them if needed to ensure they work correctly.


4. System errors during migration

Problem:

The migration process is interrupted by a technical error.

Solution:

  • Restart the app: Logging out and back into your account often resolves the issue. Alternatively, clearing your browser history and cookie data and then retrying may help.

  • Contact support: If the problem persists, email us at magicpen@neuroflash.com with a detailed description (including screenshots, if possible).

  • Temporary workaround: While waiting for the issue to be resolved, you can continue using your Legacy Brand Voice as usual.


5. Migration started accidentally

Problem:

You accidentally started the migration and want to revert to your old Brand Voice.

Solution:

Unfortunately, reverting to the old Brand Voice after migration is not possible. However, your old Brand Voice is still stored as a reference.

  • Manual adjustments: Update the new Brand Voice manually to replicate the original structure.


6. Issues with the "Migrated Rules" display

Problem:

The "Migrated Rules" section appears incomplete or difficult to understand.

Solution:

  • Compare with the Legacy version: Use the old Brand Voice as a reference.

  • Remove unnecessary rules: Delete rules in the "Migrated Rules" section that are no longer relevant.

  • Seek support: If the section is incomplete, contact support for a detailed review.


Tips to Avoid Migration Issues

  • Preparation: Ensure your old Brand Voice is complete and consistent before starting the migration.

  • Test migration: If unsure, migrate a less critical Brand Voice first to test the process.
